Vajrasattva is a bodhisattva in the Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhist traditions. The lineage of Dzogchen is traced from the dharmakaya Samantabhadra to the sambhogakaya, which is the five buddha families who are all Samantabhadra’s own self-reflection, the sovereign of which is Vajrasattva. This is the direct mind transmission.
